Fitting question
I was being fit for some new Pings and kept getting some strange results. I was hitting maroon dot ( 5 up) and the tape on the sole was still hitiing near the toe indicating I needed more upright. Ping does not go more than that. I then started putting tape on the face and when I hit the maroon dot I was hitting the ball near the hosel end of the club face. As I moved more flat to white dot ( 3 up) my sole tape begin to look more off ( more toward the toe again ) but the tape on the face indictaed that I was now hitting the ball more in the center of the clubface. Basically as I went flatter in lie the tape on the sole looked worse but the tape on the face looked better. I think the white dot had me hiiting the closest to the middle but I was still dragging my toe based on the feedback from the tape on the sole. Any advice?
