Golf Club Patents
When a company like Nickent goes out of business, what happens to the patents they hold???
Has another company purchased the patents???
The concept behind the ARC Blade is genius, and I was thinking that a company with a better strong-hold in the industry could have made a pile of cash with the club.

Shot of the Day
I'd like to hear what yours was....
On my last complete round, I played average (for me), mid-80s, but I had a memorable shot on a 189 yard par 3 into a swirling wind.
The group in front waved my group up and then proceeded to circle the pin, each guy standing about 8 feet away. I thought that that was weird, but because I rarely hit the green on this particular hole anyway, I didn't let them worry me too much. I took a 2 hybrid, let 'er rip, and stuck it right between them....
When it landed, I could see them all jump back a bit...

Every tournament between now and Augusta readies for Tiger
Nobody knows when Tiger will return, but every tournament between now and Augusta is getting ready, just in case they draw the golden ticket.
Amid reports that Woods has been spotted working with swing coach Hank Haney, tournament organizers are scrambling to prepare for a media onslaught unlike any they've ever seen before. And while we don't know if Tiger will return at Bay Hill in a couple weeks, or at the Transitions or Houston Open -- or, indeed, if he'll return at all anytime soon -- planners have to get ready for the possibility.

Grip Size???
I have just recently retired from the military and have fallen in love with the game of Golf. I have been playing now for abour 10 months. My question is: should I get larger grips put on my clubs? I have fairly large hands and was wondering if I should get a fatter grip put on my Callaway X-22 irons and my hybrids and driver as well? It just feels like I'm holding onto a tooth pick. I'd seen diff. grips at the golf pro shop where I play and there is some that are fatter...... Is this somethink I should consider?
Respectfully
Mark

China's golf boom not quite proceeding as smoothly as hoped
Here's something you don't see every day -- a story about how wonderful things are in China turns out to not be quite so rosy after all. No, you see that story only about every other day.
In this case, the subject is golf. You'll recall that last fall, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and others traveled to Shanghai for a triumphant HSBC golf tournament, and word on the street was that golf in China was rallying.

How do you minimize Double Bogeys+
Ive been playing high school matches and ive had a terrible start so far. Its the big numbers that just absolutely wreck my score card. Ill b 2 over for 7 holes and 7 over for 2 holes. Its just getting more ridiculous and I dont know if its just bad course management, not dedicated to the shot, or whatever. My triple today was from chunking 2 chips and missing the up and down from like 10 feet. Its easy to go back and tell myself, "I shouldve just thought of getting on the green", but I dont think like that when im out there.

Greetings.
I am a final year graduate student at the engineering school at Penn. More critically, I hold the distinction of being a 16-year & one hole-in-1 old golfer, having been initiated to the game in my early teens. Presently, I am a 14 handicap.

Letting arms simply fall to start downswing... Priceless
Hey guys, I read the boards a lot but dont post very often. I just wanted to share a break through in my golf game with you guys. For starters, I have been playing golf for around20 years. I am 38 years old and have been a 12-16 handicapper for most of those years. I have gotten pretty darn good at playing decent golf with a bad golf swing. I have never hit it long and I pretty much got good at my timing and muscle'ing the ball down the fairway. I knew I had problems with "casting" the club. So this off season I decided to work on one thing.
